Good Sir is built around private, honest progress. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create and use an account, including:

Account details such as your name, email address, password credentials, and timezone.
Profile information you choose to add, such as a photo, location, interests, life stage, and biography.
Your private promises, standards, reflections, progress, challenge activity, and notification preferences.
Content you choose to share in a private circle, with a witness, or through an experience.
Subscription status, billing identifiers, and transaction records. Stripe processes payment-card details; Good Sir does not store full card numbers.

We and our hosting providers may also receive basic technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, request logs, and security events when you use the service.

How we use information

Provide, personalize, secure, and maintain the Good Sir service.
Display your progress and the information you choose to share with permitted members.
Process subscriptions, provide receipts, and manage cancellations.
Send account, verification, security, membership, and opted-in reminder emails.
Understand product usage, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and improve the experience.
Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed:

With other members when you intentionally share content or enable profile visibility.
With service providers that operate Good Sir, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments, and Resend for application email.
When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer.

Service providers process information under their own security and privacy commitments and only for the services they provide to us.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile, visibility, and notification choices inside Good Sir. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@heygoodsir.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and we may retain limited records where law, fraud prevention, or legitimate business needs require it.

Depending on where you live, local law may provide additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision or contact a privacy regulator. Good Sir does not discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights.

Retention and security

We keep information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. We use access controls, encrypted connections, row-level authorization, and trusted infrastructure providers to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Good Sir is an adult membership service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

International use

Good Sir and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate protections for cross-border transfers.

Changes and contact
